I ordered the basic 450 greenhouse for my wife, she is the one with the green thumb. The kit arrived in good time and shape. It then set in the backyard for a few weeks until I felt brave enough to tackle this project.

We put the greenhouse on the south side of our home to shelter it from high winds. It receives plenty of sun. I opted to build the kit on a foundation of treated 2x4's leveled and staked deep into the ground. I then filled the inside with sand (lots of sand) and topped it of with stepping stones and rock.

We just had our fist snow today. There was 4" of powder on the top of the greenhouse and it's still standing tall. It's a pretty stout structure after you get all the "nuts & bolts "together.

Best thing of all?....my wife is happy (woo-hoo!) She did say something about buying and expansion kit though.( DOH!)
