What About Electricity?
You will need electricity if you plan on using electric heat and/or an electric ventilation system. Timers for vents, heat, and sprinklers generally will require electricity unless you have ordered special equipment that use batteries. Electricity in your greenhouse can be useful giving you more time to enjoy and care for your plant. Heat lines from the house or garage should be ran to the greenhouse before the installation of the greenhouse is finished. This is both a time and money saving act in the construction of your greenhouse.
Wiring for Beginners.
Remember, first and foremost: Before touching a thing, make sure the power is turned off. This can be a very dangerous situation if that one step is disregarded. Our second recommendation: hire an expert if you have little to no experience in wiring. Some things are worth having professionals do. We suggest, however, that you lay the groundwork for the electrician in order to shave off some of the expense.
For just plain convienence we would suggest investing in a power control center. This handy tool comes with a 50' power cord, four outlets, dual 110v and 12 volt, 150 watts max. It is weather resistant and incrediably easy to use and install.
